Individual Therapy

I am an experienced, trauma-informed psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience. My approach to therapy marries components of psychodynamic psychotherapy with aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy using experiential methods.

Individual therapy for adults is a way to explore and understand your patterns of interacting and behaving. If you are feeling stuck, individual therapy will help you gain awareness and challenge those patterns with greater curiosity and compassion.

 

I have extensive training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy 

(TF-CBT). 

 
Family Therapy 

I value the importance of family and seek to help families resolve conflicts,  improve communication and create a better functioning home environment.  Family therapy can assist families in solving problems, and understanding and managing transitions such as death, divorce, illness or changes within the family.  

 

Family therapy is beneficial for adults and adolescents struggling with substance abuse, eating disorders and emotional and behavioral issues.

My Therapeutic Approach

I approach therapy from an integrative theory of psychotherapy, blending different approaches and modifying treatment based upon your unique needs. I believe that therapy is a collaboration where we examine your concerns with curiosity and without judgment.

I work with people who are seeking to improve their relationships with others, searching to heal old wounds, struggle with depression, anxiety, or trauma. I have substantial experience working with survivors of childhood abuse and neglect, and helping people understand and resolve problematic patterns of thinking and behaving. 

​

I also work with teenagers who struggle with their emotions and behaviors. I value working with families who are facing transitions and parents who are feeling stressed.
